Dear fellow Hanoverians:
The Hanover Historical Society, in collaboration with the Hanover Garden
Club, is pleased to announce an upcoming event with local historian John
Galluzzo. Mr. Galluzzo will talk about “The History of Gardening in New
England.” He will compare how historic gardening practices were similar to
or different from modern day practices.
John Galluzzo is Director of Education and Camping at the South Shore
Natural Science Center in Norwell. John has his bachelor’s in history from
the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has written over thirty books
on local history topics. He is a regular contributor to South Shore Living
and Ships Monthly among others.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Hanover
Senior Center at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday July 17th. Light refreshments will
be served courtesy of the Council on Aging.
The Hanover Senior Center is located at 655 Center Street. Reservations
can be made by calling the Hanover Senior Center 781-924-1913 or e-mailing
coa@hanover-ma.gov .
