Dear fellow Hanoverians:
For the first time in my memory, the Hanover Housing Authority is making plans to build more affordable housing in Hanover. Whether you are a builder looking for a construction contract, or you know someone who might like to move in upon the completion of the project, I thought this request for proposals would be of interest to you.
In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44, Section 53G, and Chapter 30B, The Housing Authority of the Town of Hanover is soliciting proposals for the permitting, development, construction, operation and management of a multi unit, senior, affordable rental housing development on a property located off Legion Drive in Hanover, Massachusetts. Proposals will be received at the office of the Hanover Planning Department, Town Hall, 550 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339, until March 31, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. Copies of the full Request for Proposals may be obtained from Andrew R. Port, Town Planner, Hanover Planning Department, Town Hall, 550 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339 or by calling (781) 826-7641, between 8 AM and 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Proposals will be publicly opened on March 31, 2009 by the Hanover Housing Authority at Town Hall, 550 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339. The selected developer(s) shall be determined by the Hanover Housing Authority. Said Committee is expected to award a contract on or before April 30, 2009. The Hanover Housing Authority reserves the right to withdraw the Request for Proposal; to reject any and all proposals; and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Hanover.
