By-law hearings schedules

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Readers of “ATOTW” will know that the Bylaw Review Committee plans to conduct two public hearings to review all by-law proposals on Thursday, March 5 and Thursday, March 12.  Operating under the directive of Article 46 approved at the May 14, 2007 Town Meeting, the purpose of these hearings is to facilitate communication and foster understanding of the intent and outcome of the proposals that will be put before the voters at the annual Town Meeting in May.

What you might not know yet, however, is the proposed schedule which is as follows:

March 5:

7:00 PM               Board of Selectmen – change in fees

By-law Review Committee – add Board of Assessors to bylaws; Advisory Committee recommendations to be printed in Town Warrant

Town Collector – change in fees

Board of Health – add description to bylaws

Board of Public Works – permitting of trenches

Planning Board – change in fees

Petition article – increase in membership to Board of Health

March 12:

7:00 PM               Town Manager Study Committee – proposal regarding Town Manager form of government

Bylaw Review Committee – residency requirements for committees; Town Moderator; Vice-Moderator

Conservation Commission – amend Wetland Protection Bylaw

The hearings will begin promptly at 7:00 PM and will be held in the large hearing room at Town Hall.
