The Boston Tea Party and the South Shore
The Hanover Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting on Saturday,
November 1st, at 4:00 p.m., at the Phoenix Lodge. A brief business meeting
will be followed by a presentation “The Boston Tea Party and the South
Shore”.
Described by John Adams as “The most magnificent movement of all”, the
destruction of shipments of East India Company tea on December 16, 1773,
would propel America down the road to revolution. Join Evan O’Brien,
Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum™ Creative Manager and Hanover Historical
Society Board Member, as he discusses a myriad of fascinating connections
between the infamous Boston Tea Party and the communities, industries, and
people of the Massachusetts’ South Shore.
