Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Three of Hanover’s finest NCAA collegiate level athletes have teamed up to offer an exciting new camp to Hanover’s youngsters this summer. Hanover High graduates Ryan Shea, Matt Shea, and James Wheeler are simply terrific role models and athletes who have gone on to the “big time” and want to give back to Hanover’s athletes and programs. My children and I can personally attest to their outstanding skills and exceptional ability to work with Hanover’s young aspiring athletes. Read on, and then sign your kids up!
Alumni Speed & Agility Camp
This Hanover Park and Recreation program is open to Hanover youth athletes who wish to improve their fitness and athletic performance prior to the fall sports season. Providing optimal speed and agility training, we look to improve your child’s athletic performance.
The camp will incorporate the proper techniques to various game related movements that will sharpen the athlete’s understanding of how to react to different scenarios in live athletic competition. While the workouts have a background stemming from both football and soccer, the training will improve performance and technique for athletes who play basketball, lacrosse, hockey and baseball. A strength portion for the camp will also be incorporated, putting a stress on strengthening the players’ core.
Competing at the NCAA collegiate level, we have realized the difference speed and agility training has made on our overall performances. We see this as a great opportunity for high school athletes to get the edge they need to achieve even greater success in their respective sports. We highly recommend this camp for high school level athletes.
