Information, please!

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

I know this will be shocking to some, but Around Town on the Web (ATOTW)
does not send information about everything happening in Hanover. :) Check
this out – the Town of Hanover also provides notifications of meetings,
agendas, minutes, etc. via a link on the website, located at
www.hanover-ma.gov .

ATOTW is only as good as the information you send to me at
cathyhb@atotw.com . Please go to www.atotw.com for more information and
submission guidelines.

There are so many ways to get information these days…enjoy!

Creative writing class for teens

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Calling young creative writers on Saturday, November 25 from 2:00 – 4:00
p.m.! The Friends of the John Curtis Free Library are excited to sponsor a
2-hour writing workshop for young adults between the ages of 14-16 who
might be interested in further imagining characters that have come to their
minds. Jane Utley Adelizzi, Ph.D., a writer, visual artist, and retired
college professor, will encourage participants to draw, discuss,
hypothesize, and write about their characters to help fully develop these
fictional personalities. It’s a great way to launch that story!

This class is free of charge and is open to 10 young writers (8
participants needed to run the class). Registration is happening now at the
children’s circulation desk, downstairs at the library. Register early
while spaces remain! Please contact Tracy Marchetti,
tcjmarchetti@gmail.com, with any questions.

Chess Club for Kids – plan for the future

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Chess Club for Kids

Are your kids interested in playing chess or learning to play? If so,
please join this new group on the first Monday of each month from 5:30 –
6:30 p.m. at the library. It will be interactive – with parents and kids
helping each other to learn to play, as well as more experienced players
having a chance to play against one another. Bring your chess set if you
have one, but there will be some extras there as well.

Dates are November 6, December 4, January 8 (since the first Monday is a
holiday), February 5, March 5, April 2, May 7 and June 4. At that time the
group can decide if they should continue through the summer or wait and
pick up next fall.

For any questions, please contact Kelly Gilroy at kl_newman@yahoo.com .
