Blood Drive at the Masonic Lodge

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The American Red Cross and Phoenix Masonic Lodge are holding a blood drive
to support the community blood supply for patients in need. Every two
seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, and every pint donated
could save up to three lives.

The Red Cross is urging Hanover residents to make an appointment to donate
blood at the below location by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or logging on to
RedCrossBlood.org.

WHEN: Saturday, December 18, 2010

Blood drive: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Phoenix Masonic Lodge, 133 Broadway Street

All presenting donors receive a candle from Yankee Candle. Join us for
Homemade Chowder and Breakfast Sandwiches!

The American Red Cross Blood Services – Northeast Division must distribute
approximately 3,000 units of blood each day just to meet the basic needs of
area patients. Individuals who are at least 17 years of age (16 with
parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good
health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and donors 18
years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight
requirements. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of
positive ID when you come to donate.
