Masse golf tournament update

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Perhaps you will remember the efforts mentioned in this space that Hanover
residents have made on behalf of the Bill Masse Family of Hanover. Bill is
the father of eight children and he continues to fight pancreatic cancer.
Bill and Kathy Masse’s church in Norwell recently ran a golf tournament to
support the Masse Family, and thanks to Debbie O’Neil, Hanover residents
stepped up to the plate to help out, too. I recently received a note in the
mail from the organizers that reads as follows:

"Thanks to your generous donations and your willingness to come out and
support the Masse family on Monday, October 26th, we were able to hand the
Masse Family a check for over $20,000 dollars. In addition, more donations
are still coming in and this will help lift some financial burdens for this
wonderful family. It will also allow Bill to focus more on getting the rest
he needs right now, which is not so easy for a man who has worked hard to
support his family for many years. When (we) met with Bill and Kathy, they
were absolutely blown away by all the love and generosity that people have
shown towards them. We reassured them that it is because they are so easy
to love."

For all of you who reached deep into your pockets after reading about the
Masse Family right here on "Around Town on the Web", thanks for being a part
of our town’s efforts. It is one of the things I love most about living
here in Hanover.neighbors helping neighbors.
