Donations to the Library Book Room on pause

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

THE FRIENDS OF THE JOHN CURTIS LIBRARY HAVE ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WILL PAUSE
ACCEPTING ANY DONATIONS TO THE BOOK ROOM FOR FOUR WEEKS, BEGINNING ON APRIL
7TH.

The Friends are a small group of volunteers who work in the book room to
sort through and shelve donations and generally keep the room looking neat
and welcoming. Sadly, the volunteers have noted a large increase in the
number of unsellable donations being left in the room and are having to
deal with disposing of these items.

The Friends hope that this pause in accepting donations, as well as
clarification of guidelines for donations, will allow their volunteers to
continue to keep the book room appealing to the customers that they very
much appreciate! They will reopen for donations on May 5th.

Donation guidelines:
Books and puzzles in good, sellable condition. No musty, moldy, dusty,
torn, or ancient items! Please donate only items that you yourself would
purchase!

For more information, please contact Sandy Hayes at
sandyhayes1016@gmail.com .

Hanover Energy Choice Public Information Sessions

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Hanover Energy Choice Public Information Sessions

Hanover residents are invited to attend a Hanover Energy Choice Public
Information Forum to learn more about our community’s municipal electric
aggregation program and how it impacts you. The Town will be hosting two
sessions, both in-person and virtually:
• Monday, April 7, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hanover Town Hall, 550
Hanover Street
• Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hanover
Council on Aging, 665 Center Street

These forums will provide valuable information about the Hanover Energy
Choice program, including how it works, your options, and the benefits it
offers to residents and businesses.

Hanover Energy Choice offers three options for the electricity supply price
on your National Grid bill. As a new participant, you will be automatically
enrolled for 30 months in Hanover Standard at $0.13107 per kwh, which is
the lowest-priced option in the program. Or you can make another choice.
Hanover Greener, at $0.13897 per kwh provides an additional 20% of your
electricity from renewable sources. Hanover Greenest, at $0.14300 per kwh
provides 100% of your electricity from renewable sources. Make the choice
that is right for you!

Hanover Energy Choice offers long-term prices, while National Grid’s
prices change seasonally. Use the price calculator found here:
http://atotw.com/maillist/lt.php?tid=aAThxLL0ajiaOdTW8mYF2Th3NE2bzs3JowOt6SjxuHZoqLt7nDM4RqoN783ZLADJ
