Every year for the past 4 years I have received information about the Josh
Perry Golf Tournament, and a year hasn’t gone by that this doesn’t hit me
hard – even though I never knew him. Please join me in supporting this
Hanover family.
4th ANNUAL JOSHUA PERRY
SCHOLARSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT
Welcome to the 4th annual scholarship golf tournament in memory of Joshua,
who passed away at the young age of 17.
Josh was a very active kid who loved to ride his BMX bike for hours at a
time with his friends. He used to say that while he rode, he felt he was
free and could do anything. Along with riding, he loved to keep his friends
& family laughing with his little noises & one-liner remarks. Many times
those noises and remarks coupled with his smile and sense of humor would
reduce the trouble he would get himself into…both at home and at school.
He had a very soft heart and would come to anyone’s defense, no matter
the cost. There is no doubt that he cherished his family and friends.
With Josh’s heartfelt intentions, we are raising funds for another year
of scholarships to help students at the South Shore Vocational Technical
High School. He would love knowing over $31,000 has been raised since the
inception of this event! These funds are marked for pay-it-forward
scholarships for the SSVT graduating seniors, tutoring for the 8th grade
Hanover Middle School students to qualify for admission to the SSVT, and a
general fund for all SSVT students who need financial assistance for their
shop requirements.
With your help, we hope to surpass our last goal. We believe Josh is truly
smiling down on all of us saying what he always said, “Come on now!”

for our raffle, such as gift certificates, golf accessories, sports
memorabilia, electronics, gift baskets, etc. Along with the original
donation format, you have the option with our new sponsorship levels.
As was last year, there will be many contests throughout the golf course
and unique & fun gifts in our raffle.

Entry Fee: $100 (includes green fees, golf cart, barbecue, and thank you
gift)
Team: Each team will consist of 4 players. If you do not enter a team list
on the entry form, you will be placed with others to create a team.
Procedure: Scramble: each team member will tee off and one member will
determine the ball with the best position; all team members will play their
second shot from that point. Repeat until ball is holed.
*In the event the golf course is deemed unplayable before the event, you
will receive a free round of golf.
